registered voter to serve with the City Manager and the City Clerk as the City of Sunny Isles Beach's Canvassing Board for the Run -Off Election, if needed, on December 2, 2014. Section 3. Conducting the Elections. The City Clerk is authorized to utilize the services of the Miami -Dade County Supervisor of Elections and her staff of officials in the conduct of said General Election. The Miami -Dade County Election Officials shall furnish the official returns for each precinct to the City Clerk of the City of Sunny Isles Beach as soon as the ballots from all precincts have been tabulated, and the Miami -Dade County Election's Department Canvassing Board's certification of the duly accepted results of said election shall be accepted by the City Commission. Section 4. Polling_ Places. That said polling places in the City of Sunny Isles Beach for said General Election shall be as established by the Miami -Dade County Supervisor of Elections and her staff of officials. All electors shall vote at the polling places and the voting precincts in which the OFFICIAL REGISTRATION BOOKS show that the said electors reside. A list of the voting precincts and the polling places therein (subject to change by the Miami -Dade County Supervisor of Election, in accordance with the laws of Florida) is attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". Section 5. Form of Ballot. The ballot for said General Election shall be printed in compliance with State law as prepared by the Miami -Dade County Supervisor of Elections, and as approved by the City Clerk as the Supervisor of Election for the City. Section 6. Voter Registration. Registration of persons desiring to vote in said General Election shall be in accordance with the general laws of the State of Florida governing voter registration. Qualified persons may obtain registration forms to vote at the Office of the City Clerk, Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, 33160, Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and at such other voter registration centers and during such times as may be provided by the Miami -Dade County Supervisor of Elections. Each person desiring to become a registered voter shall be responsible for properly filling out the registration form and returning it to the Miami -Dade County Elections Office. All completed registration forms must be received by the Miami -Dade County Elections Office and clocked in no later than Monday, October 6, 2014, at 5:00 p.m., for the General Election (and no later than Monday, November 3, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. for a run -off election, if necessary) in order for a person to vote in said elections. Notice of Elections. That not less than thirty (30) days notice of said General Election shall be given by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in Sunny Isles Beach, Miami -Dade County, Florida, the first publication to be in the fifth week prior to the Election, and the second publication to be in the third week prior to said Election.
