Russo, City Manager <br />Bill Evans, Assistant City Manager <br />7/17/2014 <br />Resolution Approving an Increase in Purchasing Authority with <br />Lukes- Sawgrass Landscaping, Inc. for Landscaping Services at <br />the Intracoastal Park <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached resolution <br />granting increased purchasing authority, in the amount not to exceed <br />$200,000.00 for FY 2013 -2014. <br />REASONS: <br />This increase in Purchasing Authority relates to accommodating the costs <br />incurred by the landscaping component for the construction of the Intracoastal <br />Parks and out - sourcing trash pickup on Collins Avenue. <br />The original contract was awarded to Lukes - Sawgrass Landscaping Inc. <br />February 2012 via Resolution 2012 -1953 for Citywide Landscape Maintenance <br />Services in an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars <br />($650,000.00). <br />Amendment No. 1 per approved Resolution No.2013 -2084 February 2013 <br />provided for additional landscaping services Citywide in an additional amount not <br />to exceed Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00). <br />Amendment No. 2 per approved Resolution No. 2013 -2084 provided for the first <br />of no more than four annual renewals of Citywide Landscape Services in an <br />Agenda Item No. IOM <br />Date 7/17/2014 <br />480 <br />
