(CALTRAN) and our sub-consultants are combining our skills and knowledge to <br />successfully deliver this Professional Planning and Zoning Consulting Services, Including Civil and Traffic Engineering <br />for the City of Sunny Isles Beach all areas identified in this Request for Qualification. We have partnered with other <br />firms to ensure delivery of any assignment the City may require under this contract; our team is comprised of small <br />local DBE or SBE certified and nationally recognized firms in the transportation industry. Our team includes the <br />following consulting firms. <br />CALTRAN is excited about the opportunity to work on this Professional Planning and Zoning Consulting Services, <br />Including Civil and Traffic Engineering for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. We have carefully assessed the project <br />requirements and we offer the City a team who has proven record of success and <br />CALTRAN’s team of experienced professionals will work as an extension of the City. The members of our team have <br />been providing engineering services for many years and have completed successfully similar services on numerous <br />projects. With over 40 experienced professionals committed to provide our clients cost-effective <br />and responsive engineering services - focused primarily on secure, efficient and environmentally sound solutions. We <br />achieve this by remaining agile, with a common-sense approach, and by keeping our structure and business model <br />simple and lean. <br />CALTRAN and our selected team members are compliant with Section 3.1 “RFQ Scope of Services” and 3.2 <br />“Requirements of the Consultants.” Moreover, CALTRAN’s team is compliant with all insurance requirements as <br />denoted by the solicitation and with less than $500,000.00 amount awarded by the City in the past three years. <br />CALTRAN’s role will be as Lead Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning Consultant. Currently working with <br />similar scopes in more than three transportation programs for the City of Miramar, the City of Miami Gardens, and the <br />City of Oakland Park, as well as multiple FDOT Districtwide Contracts since more than five years ago without any legal <br />pending concerns and with as realm of staff ready to work with the City. We propose to coordinate with the City in <br />advance to determine and to schedule work assignments to ensure that resources are available to meet any and all <br />submittal and production deadlines. Having reviewed the workload of the team that will be assigned to this contract, <br />we feel certain that we can accomplish any request that the city may have as our current workload will not adversely <br />impact this contract. <br />CALTRAN has worked with the City of Sunny Isles tasks that include the support traffic analysis justification <br />of the pedestrian bridge planned over SR A1A/Collins Avenue close to the City Hall as part of the FDOT <br />justification request as well as the Sunny Isles Beach Pier parking study.
