RESOLUTION NO. 2021- 3 z:e I <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF:,kp, L,&= S -My VC-7541'r-1— <br />TO FILL THE VACANCY FOR CITY COMMISSIONER SEAT 3; PROVI ING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Dana Goldman tendered her resignation as Commissioner Seat 3 of the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach ("City"), effective November 3, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.5 (c) (ii) of the City's Charter, the Mayor has the <br />authority to nominate a qualified elector of the City to fill a vacancy on the Commission, subject <br />to confirmation of the City Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayor Goldman has nominated-fA-bioUr graV l & SAnT-to fill the <br />Commission Seat 3 vacancy. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BYTHE CITY COMMISSION OFTHE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Filling of City Commissioner Seat 3 Vacancy. The Mayor hereby nominates, and <br />the City Commission confirms, the nomination of-f,Blnl & �Tt1VVe7Sf}M-fo fill the <br />vacancy for City Commissioner Seat 3. <br />Section 2. Assumption of Duties. The aforementioned vacancy shall be filled until the <br />results are certified for the Special Election scheduled to occur on January 25, 2022, or any <br />resultant run-off. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
