PROPOSAL FOR <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA <br /> <br />RFP NO. 22-02-01 26 <br />GFOA CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM <br />Marcum assists clients who participate in the GFOA Certificate of Achievement <br />for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program. This program is recognized as <br />the highest award in government financial reporting. The Certificate of <br />Achievement has been awarded on all of the financial statements for <br />participating clients, including first time submissions. Several members of the <br />Marcum team are special reviewers for the GFOA Certificate of Achievement <br />Program, including Branden A. Lopez who has been a special reviewer for the <br />Certificate Program since 2018 and Moises D. Ariza who has been a Certificate <br />Program reviewer since 2014. <br />Marcum serves more than 250 government clients at a national level and over 40 government <br />clients in Florida. One hundred (100) percent of our clients that apply for the GFOA Certificate of <br />Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting have received the certificate during our tenure <br />as auditors. <br />LONGEVITY OF STAFF/TURNOVER RATE <br />Since all of Marcum’s government audit staff are qualified to perform financial and single audits <br />of local governments and other government agencies, the Firm can assure the quality of staff over <br />the term of the engagement. The turnover of managerial personnel in Marcum’s government team <br />is less than 5% based on the past five (5) years. <br />SUBCONTRACTORS <br />Marcum will not be using subcontractors for this solicitation. <br /> <br />
