The audit team <br />was very knowledgeable, professional, and very responsive to the Villages needs. The <br />audit was conducted in a timely, orderly, and systematic manner, encompassing all <br />of the requirements of Government Auditing Standards and the Uniform Guidance. <br />Given that this was the 1st year of the audit contract, we were very pleased with the <br />minimal disruption to our day to day operations in the accounting department. <br />Their knowledge and commitment to the government sector made the transition to a <br />new audit firm seamless. <br />In our scenario, the Village was subject to a Federal Single Audit in accordance Uniform <br />Guidance, specifically due to Disaster Relief Funding from the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency (FEMA), in which the audit team was able to provide proper <br />guidance with respect to the unique reporting requirements set forth by FEMA, which <br />is not reoccurring in nature to the Village. <br />We highly recommend the firm of Marcum LLP to any organization requiring auditing <br />and related consulting services, as we are looking forward to our continued partnership <br />with them for many years to come. <br />Please do not hesitate to contact my office if there are any questions regarding this letter <br />of recommendation. <br />Respectfully, <br />Desmond Chin <br />Finance Director
