PROPOSAL FOR <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA <br /> <br />RFP NO. 22-02-01 6 <br />STRENGTH IN SERVING THE PUBLIC SECTOR <br />GOVERNMENT SERVICES <br />For over 70 years, Marcum has successfully provided professional auditing, accounting, financial <br />reporting and management advisory/consulting services to a broad spectrum of government <br />entities, including preparing government financial statements and performing Federal and Florida <br />Single Audits. Annually we perform more than 250 government entity audits, 300 employee <br />benefit plan audits, and 200 Single Audit engagements. <br /> <br />The assurance services we provide to government entities includes single audits, pension audits, <br />compliance audits, forensic audits, IT audits, internal audits, GASB implementation, financial <br />statement audits, and Annual Financial Report preparation and assistance, performance or <br />operational reviews and a wide range of consulting services for local governments. <br /> <br />In addition, the partner and quality control director on the proposed engagement team have been <br />instrumental in assisting clients with the implementation of new pronouncements. Most recently, <br />to note significant GASB pronouncements, the team assisted our clients with the implementation <br />of GASB Statement No. 88, Certain Disclosure Related to Debt, including Direct Borrowings and <br />Direct Placements and GASB Statement No. 84, Fiduciary Activities.
