<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,
<br />FLORIDA, APPROVING A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH G.
<br />CONCRETE DEVELOPMENT, INC. FOR THE BELLA VISTA BAY PARK
<br />RECONSTRUCTION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-THREE THOUSAND
<br />SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS AND FORTY-THREE CENTS ($53,670.43),
<br />ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
<br />SAID AMENDMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS
<br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
<br />DATE.
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") issued and advertised Request for
<br />Proposal ("RFP") No. 19-10-01 for the Reconstruction of the Bella Vista Park dock ("Services"),
<br />for which two (2) responses were received, and it was determined that G. Concrete
<br />Development, Inc. ("Contractor") was the lowest responsible, responsive bidder whose bid best
<br />served the interests of and represents the best value to the City; and
<br />WHEREAS, on December 19th, 2019, via Resolution No. 2019-3022, the City Commission
<br />awarded the RFP to, and entered into an Agreement with, the Contractor to perform the
<br />Services, in an amount not to exceed $366,602.50; and
<br />WHEREAS, on September 14, 2021, via Resolution No. 2021-3243, the City Commission
<br />ratified a First Amendment to the Agreement with the Contractor for mangrove removal, in an
<br />amount not to exceed $90,409.60, bringing the total contract amount not to exceed
<br />$457,012.10; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Contractor has submitted a quote for the relocation of an existing
<br />electrical panel and increased materials cost, in an amount not to exceed $53,670.43; and
<br />WHEREAS, this Second Amendment also includes an additional 275 days to achieve
<br />project completion; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to approve the Second Amendment to the Agreement with G.
<br />Concrete Development, Inc., for the Bella Vista Bay Park Reconstruction, in a total amount not
<br />to exceed Fifty -Three Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Dollars and Forty -Three Cents
<br />($53,670.43), bringing the total contract amount not to exceed Five Hundred Ten Thousand Six
<br />Hundred Eighty-two Dollars and Fifty-three Cents ($510,682.53) attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY
<br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />Section 1. Approval of Second Amendment. The City Commission hereby ratifies the
<br />Second Amendment to the Agreement with G. Concrete Development, Inc., for the Bella Vista
<br />Bay Park Reconstruction, in a total amount not to exceed Fifty -Three Thousand Six Hundred
<br />Seventy Dollars and Forty -Three Cents ($53,670.43), bringing the total contract amount not to
