Contract Clauses for Solicitation 47QSMD20R0001 Refresh Number 9 Contract Number: GS-07F-0031W <br />specified in the contract. These rates may be adjusted only as a result of revisions to prevailing labor rates <br />provided by the Secretary of Labor. The option provision may be exercised more than once, but the total <br />extension of perfonnance hereunder shall not exceed 6 months. The Contracting Officer may exercise the <br />option by written notice to the Contractor within by written notice to the Contractor within 30 calendar days <br />before the contract expiration date.. <br />52.247-38 F.o.b. Inland Carrier, Point of Exportation (FEB 2006) <br />(DEVIATION — FEB 2007) <br />(a) The terns "f.o.b. inland carrier, point of exportation," as used in this clause, means free of expense to <br />the ordering activity, on board the conveyance of the inland carrier, delivered to the specified point of <br />exportation. <br />(b) The Contractor shall <br />(1) (i) Pack and mark the shipment to comply with contract specifications; or <br />(ii) In the absence of specifications, prepare the shipment for ocean transportation in <br />conforniance with carrier requirements to protect the goods and to ensure assessment of <br />the lowest applicable transportation charge; <br />(2) Prepare and distribute commercial bills of lading or other transportation receipt; <br />(3) (i) Deliver the shipment in good order and condition in or on the conveyance of the <br />carrier on the date or within the period specified; and <br />(ii) Pay and bear all applicable charges, including transportation costs, to the point of <br />delivery specified in the contract; <br />(4) Be responsible for any loss of and/or damage to the goods occurring before delivery of the <br />shipment to the point of delivery in the contract; and <br />(5) At the ordering activity's request and expense, assist in obtaining the documents required <br />for <br />(i) Exportation; or <br />(ii) Importation at destination. <br />52.246-4 INSPECTION OF SERVICES —FIXED -PRICE (AUG 1996) <br />(DEVIATION - MAY 2003) <br />(a) Definition: "Services," as used in this clause, includes services performed, workmanship, and <br />material furnished or utilized in the perforniance of services. <br />(b) The Contractor shall provide and maintain an inspection system acceptable to the ordering activity <br />covering the services under this contract. Complete records of all inspection work performed by the <br />Contractor shall be maintained and made available to the ordering activity during contract performance <br />and for as long afterwards as the contract requires. <br />(c) The ordering activity has the right to inspect and test all services called for by the contract, to the <br />extent practicable at all times and places during the terns of the contract. The ordering activity shall <br />perform inspections and tests in a manner that will not unduly delay the work. <br />(d) If the ordering activity perfornis inspections or tests on the premises of the Contractor or a <br />subcontractor, the Contractor shall furnish, and shall require subcontractors to furnish, at no increase in <br />Page:22 of 211 <br />
