SECTION 2 <br />SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br />2.1 PURPOSE: <br />'16 or StM M <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the "City' a municipality located in Miami -Dade County, <br />Florida, seeks to secure a qualified and experienced Professional Consulting firm (the "firm" and/or <br />"Consultant's to submit statements of qualifications to conduct a comprehensive site feasibility <br />study for the City's Police Department facilities utilizing the current three (3) tracts of land available <br />depicted on Exhibit "A". In addition, a space needs analysis for its Police Department is required <br />for the current Police Department space located at 18070 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br />33160. Consultants responding to this RFQ will have visited the site and reviewed the specifications <br />incorporated with this RFQ prior to submittal. The selected firm shall demonstrate specific <br />experience and capabilities in design and construction of law enforcement and public safety <br />facilities. <br />The qualifications and selection of consultants shall be in accordance with Florida <br />Statutes Section 287.055; Continuing Contract. <br />2.2 PRE -SUBMITTAL CONFERENCE <br />A Mandatory pre -bid conference will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00am at the <br />Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160; 1st <br />Floor Conference Room to discuss the special conditions and specifications included within this <br />solicitation. Those who fail to attend this mandatory pre -bid conference will not be considered by <br />the City and their bid will be determined non -responsive. <br />Bidders are requested to bring the solicitation documents to the conference, as additional copies <br />may not be available. COVID-19 precautions will be adhered to: building screening, masks, social <br />distancing, etc. <br />2.3 CONTRACT EXECUTION <br />This contract will commence upon execution by both parties which shall be the effective date <br />succeeding approval of the contract by the City Commission, or City Manager, unless otherwise <br />stipulated in the Notice of Award letter. The contract shall be contingent upon the completion and <br />submittal of all required documents. This contract shall remain in effect until the completion of <br />services, provided that the services rendered by Firm during the contract period are satisfactory <br />and that City funding is available as appropriated on an annual basis. However, in the event funding <br />is not appropriated on an annual basis during any particular year within the contract period, the <br />contract may be canceled upon thirty (30) days written notice to Firm. In such an event, the City <br />shall only be responsible for the reasonable value of services performed prior to the effective date <br />of termination. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach I Request for Qualifications No. 21-10-01 <br />
