THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE MAY BE CONTACTED BY PHONE AT (305) <br />792-1703 OR VIA EMAIL AT MBetancur@sibfl.net. <br />SECTION 3 <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking qualified architects and consultants experienced in design <br />and construction of law enforcement and public safety facilities to conduct a comprehensive site <br />feasibility study and space needs analysis for its Police Department. The City desires to develop <br />conceptual plans and a detailed feasibility analysis to determine whether building renovation, new <br />construction, leased space or some combination thereof among the three available tracts of land <br />will provide the most practical and cost-effective solution to meet the existing and future space <br />needs of the organization. <br />The firm shall evaluate the current conditions and anticipated needs of the Police Department to <br />ultimately provide the assessment and practicality for potential options. Services shall include, but <br />not be limited to, the following: <br />1. Conduct a thorough space analysis to demonstrate the current inadequacies and offer <br />reliable estimates of current and projected space requirements based upon industry <br />standards, policing trends, and the City's growth for all locations listed in Section 3.2. <br />2. Site evaluations and gathering of appropriate data on existing facilities and City property <br />to determine if renovation, expansion, or new construction is possible at one of the <br />locations listed in Section 3.2. <br />3. Provide a comparison of the life cycle for renovation of an existing facility, acquisition of <br />an adaptive re -use facility, or new construction. <br />4. Identify building costs and site requirements, including lot size recommendations, and <br />required site elements, including but not limited to parking, security, lighting, access, <br />visibility, etc. <br />5. Collaborate with City staff on policing philosophy, organizational hierarchy, current and <br />future department goals, jurisdictional strategic plan, staffing projections, key personnel <br />to be interviewed, space needs of agency by function, and any other information deemed <br />appropriate to ensure an accurate analysis. <br />6. Understanding of existing facility's layout, building codes within jurisdiction and future <br />policing trends and needs. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach I Request for Qualifications No. 21-10-01 <br />
