February 7, 2022
Attn: Mr. Ian Reeves, AIA, President
Architects Design Group / ADG Inc.
RE: Sunny Isles Beach (FL) Police Department Staffing Study
The Center for Public Safety (CPS) proposes to undertake a staffing study of the police
department. We understand that the city recently undertook a compensation study but
in my conversation with Genesis Cuevas, Purchasing Administrator and Chief Mike
Grandinetti, I explained the difference.
CPS estimates that from the notice to proceed, the staffing study for the Police
Department would take no more than three months. CPS would start the process by
requesting information. Upon receipt of the information, CPS would go to Sunny Isles
Beach and meet with command staff members to collect additional data and confirm
conformance to the organizational chart.
This data may include the following:
• Population data, current and historical data together with future projections
• Organizational charts for each Unit within the department
• Department rosters
• Personnel utilization
• Shift structure
Relative to the police department, CPS will follow the three divisions currently utilized as
described by the Chief:
1. Patrol or Operations
2. Investigative Services
3. Administration
