® Coverage is not to cease and is to remain in force (subject to cancellation notice) until all <br />performance required of Contractor is completed. All policies must be endorsed to <br />provide City with at least thirty (30) days' notice of expiration, cancellation and/or <br />restriction. If any of the insurance coverages will expire prior to the completion of the <br />work, copies of renewal policies shall be furnished at least thirty (30) days prior to the <br />date of their expiration. <br />0 City reserves the right to review and revise any insurance requirements at the time of <br />renewal or amendment of this Contract, including, but not limited to, deductibles, limits, <br />coverage, and endorsements based on insurance market conditions affecting the <br />availability or affordability of coverage, or changes in the scope of work or specifications <br />that affect the applicability of coverage. If Contractor uses a subcontractor, Contractor <br />shall ensure that subcontractor names City as an additional insured. <br />The required insurance coverage shall be issued by an insurance company authorized and <br />licensed to do business in the State of Florida, with the following minimum qualifications <br />in accordance with the latest edition of A.M. Best's Insurance Guide: <br />Financial Stability - A <br />Financial Size - VIII <br />All required insurance policies shall preclude any underwriter's rights of recovery or <br />subrogation against City with the express intention of the parties being that the required <br />insurance coverage protect both parties as the primary coverage for any and all losses <br />covered by the above described insurance. <br />The Successful Proposer shall ensure that any company issuing insurance to cover the <br />requirements contained in this Contract agrees that they shall have no recourse against <br />City for payment or assessments in any form on any policy of insurance. <br />The clauses "other Insurance Provisions" and "Insurers Duties in the Event of an <br />Occurrence, Claim or Suit" as it appears in any policy of insurance in which City is named <br />as an additional named insured shall not apply to City. City shall provide written notice <br />of occurrence within fifteen (15) working days of City's actual notice of such an event. <br />The Successful Proposer shall not commence work under the Contract until after he has <br />obtained all of the minimum insurance herein described. <br />The Successful Proposer agrees to perform the work under the Contract as an <br />independent contractor, and not as a sub -contractor, agent or employee of City. <br />4.7 SCRUTINIZED COMPANIES: <br />(a) Contractor certifies that it and its subcontractors are not on the Scrutinized <br />Companies that Boycott Israel List. Pursuant to Section 287.135, F.S., the City may <br />immediately terminate this Agreement at its sole option if the Contractor or its <br />subcontractors are found to have submitted a false certification; or if the <br />Contractor, or its subcontractors are placed on the Scrutinized Companies that <br />City of Parkland RFP 2021-03 Page 27 <br />
