Through aseries of workshops, <br />lifestyle/ demographic analysis, analysis of existing <br />systems, benchmarking and economic analysis, AECOM <br />developed a series of guiding principles that setforth a new <br />vision for a livable, sustainable community. <br />Downtown San Diego Needs Assessment, San Diego, CA <br />Project included the extensive research and analysis for the <br />preparation of a needs assessment which included a series <br />of interviews and workshops with various stakeholders and <br />focus groups; public workshops, a youth workshop, and <br />presentations, and a mail/telephone survey centered on <br />Downtown San Diego. , <br />Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation Long Range <br />Strategic Plan, Fort Lauderdale, FL <br />Developed a Parks and. Recreation Long Range Strategic <br />Plan that set forth a clearly defined mission and long <br />range plan for the Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation <br />Department that reflects community interest and <br />significant levels of community support. The Plan sought <br />to maximize citizen use and enjoyment of existing parks, <br />facilities and recreation services while settingforth <br />specific recommendations for meeting the future needs of <br />the community. This plan seeks to position the Department <br />to strategically meet the recreational needs of an <br />urbanizing City as well as the changing demographics and <br />lifestyles of its residents. <br />Bicycle, Pedestrian, Greenways and Trail Planning: <br />Trail Design Guidelines and Standards, Miami -Dade <br />County, FL <br />Working jointlywith Rails -to Traits Conservancy and Miami - <br />Dade County Park and Recreation Department, the M'iami- <br />Dade County Trails Guidelines and Standard achieved two <br />purposes; provide specific sound solutions to complex <br />transportation and safety concerns for thedevelopment <br />of the Ludlam Trail; and the development of shared -use <br />trail guidelines which can be implemented throughout <br />Miami -Dade County.
