29 <br />LPOC36007.2022 City of Sunny Isles Beach/ Continuing Services for Landscape Architectural Services/RFQ # 22-06-01 <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />Boynton Beach Gateway Enhancements and Welcome Signage, Boynton Beach, FL <br />Project Manager. Kimley-Horn provided landscape architecture, structural engineering, signage <br />design, construction plans preparation, and construction observation services to design and <br />construct two “Welcome to Boynton Beach” signs. One sign is located at the north city limits <br />along Federal Highway (just west of Ocean Inlet Drive) and another sign at the south city limits in <br />the median of Federal Highway (just north of Gulfstream Blvd). These beautification and general <br />improvements are part of Boynton Beach CRA’s overall plan to improve the City’s aesthetic and <br />provide enhanced gateways into the community. <br />Regatta Park, Miami, FL — Landscape architect for the Kimley-Horn team that provided <br />landscape architecture services for Regatta Park, a new 15-acre waterfront passive park that will <br />transform the underutilized waterfront into a more cohesive and vibrant public space connecting <br />the public to the waterfront. The main features of the park include the Expo Lawn, Regatta Lawn, <br />Tropical Gardens, Promenade, Multi-use Path Connector, Tree Alee, and Children’s Play Area. <br />Kimley-Horn was tasked with the landscape architectural and civil engineering design of the park <br />from concept through construction administration. <br />NE 125th FDOT Planting Grant Project, North Miami, FL — Project Manager. Kimley- <br />Horn was retained by the City of North Miami to develop a tree planting design for the 125th <br />Street/123rd Street corridor between Griffin Boulevard and the east bank of the Broad Causeway <br />Bridge –approximately 2.6 miles. There will be approximately 120 trees and palms, 200 shrubs/ <br />groundcovers, and sod to be accommodated in the design. Plans will be developed to meet FDOT <br />requirements for limits of clear sight, horizontal offsets, and other pertinent design standards and <br />specifications, as well as landscape watering and maintenance chart and opinion of probable <br />construction cost. <br />City of Sunrise, Welleby Park Expansion, Sunrise, FL — Project Manager for the <br />redevelopment of Welleby Park. The City of Sunrise retained Kimley-Horn for improvements to <br />Welleby Park located at NW 44th Street and Hiatus Road within the City of Sunrise. Kimley-Horn <br />will provide conceptual design for two options for the park redevelopment to be presented at a <br />public presentation meeting. Our team will refine the concept design and prepare design plans, <br />including paving and drainage plans, utility plans, and signing and marking plans. <br />City of Miramar Vizcaya Park, Miramar, FL — Landscape architect for this 20-acre park in <br />Miramar that provides both active and passive recreational opportunities. The first phases of the <br />park included a soccer/multiuse field, two full-size basketball courts, and a 7,600-square-foot <br />community center. The park’s passive features include open picnic areas, a playground, and a <br />jogging/fitness trail along the perimeter of the project site. Phase 3 of the project included the <br />additions of a splash pad, pavilions, a second soccer field, park signage, and overflow parking; <br />Phase 3 was completed in 2016. The community center was the first LEED® (Leadership in <br />Energy and Environmental Design) Certified building in the City, achieving Gold Certification. <br />Kimley-Horn provided master planning, landscape architecture, engineering design, permitting, <br />and construction observation/administration services. <br />OB Johnson Park, Hallandale Beach, FL — Landscape architect for this 6.4-acre park. The <br />park included a 42,000 SF multigenerational facility that included a teen center, indoor basketball <br />courts, after school and senior programming, exercise room, administrative offices, and other <br />accessory uses for computer and dance classes, food distribution, and other programming for <br />all ages. The exterior park amenities included a walking trail, playground, tennis courts, a field <br />house, and a football/soccer field.
