See associated project sheet. <br />Client’s name: Pinecrest Gardens (Village of Pinecrest) <br />Address: 11000 SW 57th Ave, Pinecrest, FL 33156 <br />Role: Prime consultant and landscape architect. <br />Dates: Oct. 2019 - July 2022 Project Cost: $6.5 million <br />Project Description: The Upper Garden is a new family-oriented and inclusive garden that <br />includes a playground, a petting zoo, a sensory garden, a new restroom building, and new <br />classroom facilities. Landscape DE served as the prime consultant, oversaw the design and <br />development of a master plan package for the site, detailed design development, construction <br />documents, and construction administration. The design was developed through a workshop <br />with Pinecrest Gardens and municipal staff. Landcape DE oversaw a multi-disciplinary <br />project team that included architects, engineers, a zoo designer, artists, accessibility <br />consultants, and others. The design utilizes local materials, a heavily native plant palette, and <br />state-of-the-art custom designed structures. The design is also focused on inclusivity as a <br />primary consideration. <br />Reference Project #2: <br />Related Project Name: Pioneer Park. See associated project sheet. <br />Client’s name: City of Port St. Lucie <br />Address: 2410 SE Westmoreland Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952 <br />Role: Prime consultant and landscape architect. <br />Dates: October 2019- Ongoing <br />Estimated Project Cost: $5.0 million. <br />Project Description: Landscape DE was landscape architect and prime consultant for this <br />project which is just going into construction. The scope included the design of a playground <br />with a water play area. The design was developed with a public engagement process that <br />included a public presentation, surveys, a booth at the Citizen Summit, and interviews with <br />City Council members. The design has a river theme with animals and forms inspired by the <br />nearby St Lucie River and design also has a nature-oriented focus. The design protects two <br />existing tree stands of pines and oaks and relocates several other stands of trees that were <br />threatened. The design also uses mostly native plant materials and incorporates large live oak <br />trees with the goal of creating a “play forest” atmosphere.
