Qualification of Key Personnel Assigned to Engagement <br />Request for Qualifications # 22-06-01 Continuing Services for Landscape Architectural Services CCNA <br /> <br />Years of Experience: 7 <br />Years With the Firm: 6 <br /> <br />Registrations & Certifications: <br />FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic, FL, 2022 <br /> <br />Education: <br />Master of Landscape Architecture <br />Florida International University, 2015 <br />Associate in Arts <br />Miami Dade College, 2012 <br /> <br /> <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Pereda is a Landscape Designer <br />responsible for public and private <br />landscape architectural design projects <br />including active and passive park <br />landscape design and roadway <br />landscaping and irrigation projects. <br /> <br />Prior to joining Miller Legg, he was with <br />a local landscape architectural firm for <br />one year as a Landscape Designer. <br /> <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br /> <br />City of South Miami Sunset Drive <br />Roadway and Beautification <br />Improvements - For this 1/4-mile <br />roadway and beautification project along <br />Sunset Drive/SW 72nd Street from US 1 <br />to SW 57th Avenue, Miller Legg is <br />providing landscape architecture, <br />arborist, irrigation and construction <br />observation services. The project scope <br />consists of roadway and beautification <br />improvements which includes proposed <br />type âFâ curb and gutters, the <br />replacement of sidewalks, and proposing <br />new trees and plants and specified <br />locations throughout the project site. <br />Specific services include tree removal <br />and disposition, irrigation field <br />investigation, hardscape design, landscape <br />design and construction observation <br />services. Miller Legg is a subconsultant <br />to Marlin Engineering. <br /> <br />City of Miami Beach 20th Street & <br />Sunset Drive Pocket Park - Under <br />our Continuing Services Contract with <br />the City of Miami Beach, Miller Legg was <br />awarded an assignment to provide <br />survey, civil, geotechnical, electrical, <br />structural engineering and landscape <br />architecture services for the design, <br />permitting and construction of a new <br />ADA-accessible .33-acre pocket park at <br />20th Street and Sunset Drive. The firm <br />prepared a boundary and topographic <br />survey, assisted with the planning of key <br />program elements and performed <br />schematic design, design development, <br />construction document, bidding and <br />construction tasks. The design <br />incorporates Crime Prevention Through <br />Environmental Design (CPTED) <br />principles. Arborist and irrigation design <br />services were also furnished for this <br />project. <br /> <br />City of Tamarac University Drive <br />Landscaping Improvements - Miller <br />Legg is providing landscape architecture, <br />hardscape, and irrigation design, <br />permitting, specific purpose survey of the <br />existing medians, utility coordination, <br />utility designation, and construction <br />administrative services for improvements <br />to the existing system of medians on <br />University Drive between NW 78th <br />Street and Southgate Blvd. in the City of <br />Tamarac. Certified Arborist services may <br />also be included for tree analysis, <br />removal and relocation needs. <br />Coordination with numerous agencies <br />including FDOT, SFWMD and the City <br />of Tamarac will also be performed. The <br />project has received funding from an <br />FDOT Grant and included creation of <br />MMOA (Maintenance agreements) <br />between the City and FDOT. Miller <br />Legg worked consistently with both the <br />City of Tamarac and FDOT to meet the <br />strict deadlines to receive this additional <br />funding. <br /> <br />City of Tamarac Go-Forward <br />Roadway Landscape Master Plan <br />Update - Miller Legg provided the City <br />of Tamarac with an update to its <br />citywide Roadway Landscape Master <br />Plan. The project consisted of creating a <br />go-forward landscape roadmap guide <br />that will be implemented for years to <br />come. Miller Legg conducted a citywide <br />tree inventory assessment, an evaluation <br />of existing landscape, irrigation and <br />hardscape conditions, an overall <br />assessment of the existing character of <br />the road corridors, and an opportunities <br />and constraints analysis. The overall goal <br />was to create a Landscape Master Plan <br />that provides the City with typical <br />conceptual landscape concepts, <br />recommendations, guidelines, and <br />implementation strategies to follow.
