As Regional <br />Engineering Manager, Mr. Mojica's <br />responsibilities include preparation of <br />proposals, negotiation of engineering <br />contracts, client relations, project <br />reporting, scheduling, budgeting, <br />management of technical staff and <br />subconsultants, design, and permitting. <br />He is highly skilled in CAD/Civil 3D, <br />ICPR and PONDS software. <br /> <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br /> <br />City of Coral Gables War Memorial <br />Youth Center Landscape & <br />Engineering - This City of Coral <br />Gables 7-acre War Memorial Youth <br />Center in Miami Dade County <br />represents a living memorial to Coral <br />Gables World War II veterans. The <br />project includes improvements to multi- <br />purpose athletic fields. Miller Legg was <br />responsible for the landscape <br />architecture, civil engineering design and <br />permitting of the improvement program. <br />Specific improvements included athletic <br />field drainage, re-sodding with Bermuda <br />"Celebration" turf and irrigation design. <br />The irrigation system ties into a non- <br />potable well system. Drainage <br />improvements consist of subsurface field <br />improvements that integrate with the <br />existing exfiltration and subsurface <br />drainage systems. Additional services <br />provided include: design development, <br />final construction documents, and <br />construction administration. Miller Legg <br />collaborated with MC Harry Associates <br />on this project. <br /> <br />City of Miami Fairlawn Community <br />Park - Under our continuing services <br />contract with the City of Miami, Miller <br />Legg was awarded the development of <br />programming, pre-design/concept, <br />design, construction document <br />preparation and construction phase <br />services for a new park on SW 63rd <br />Avenue. The scope includes civil <br />engineering, landscape architecture, <br />certified arborist, surveying and SUE, <br />structural, electrical and geotechnical <br />engineering as well as permitting, opinion <br />of probable cost and limited <br />construction administration. The passive <br />park will contain a shaded/fenced <br />children's playground, dog run, shared <br />pedestrian / bicyclist perimeter path, <br />light bollards, benches, pedestrian pole <br />lighting, irrigation, water fountain, bike <br />racks, receptacles, hardscape furniture, <br />access driveway and perimeter privacy <br />walls. Permitting will be coordinated <br />with the City of Miami, Miami-Dade <br />County DERM, WASD and SFWMD. <br />Survey services include boundary and <br />topographic and tree inventory. Miller <br />Legg will assist the City with the <br />presentation of conceptual designs at <br />Community Meetings to gather public <br />input for a final design. <br /> <br />City of Homestead Biscayne- <br />Everglades Greenway Trail - Among <br />the services Miller Legg provided for this <br />3.2 mile, 12-foot-wide Biscayne <br />Everglades Greenway shared-use trail <br />project are landscape architectural, <br />engineering, surveying and environmental <br />services including preparation of FDOT- <br />approved construction documents, <br />design of regulatory and wayfinding signs, <br />pavement markings, safe pedestrian push <br />button crossing and necessary drainage <br />within the C-103 Canal right-of-way <br />from East Mowry Drive to SW 137th <br />Avenue in Homestead. The scope of <br />services was based upon a 2017 Florida <br />Shared-use Non-Motorized Trail <br />Agreement between the City of <br />Homestead and FDOT. Topographic and <br />SUE services were delivered. The scope <br />included engineering design and <br />permitting services for the shared-use <br />trail, associated drainage and roadway <br />pedestrian crossings.
