He has worked on multiple commercial, industrial and residential projects involving production and project management across various technical disciplines. In addition, he spent 3 years as a senior engineering and construction manager for an international firm providing camp and logistics construction services at Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan. Prior to joining Miller Legg, Mr. Schipske was a founding principal of two engineering firms and has held senior positions at various civil engineering and land development firms in South Florida. Relevant Project Experience: City of Lauderhill NW Quadrant Drainage Improvements - Miller Legg provided to the City of Lauderhill site civil engineering, preparation of materials, construction specifications on engineering plans, editing City front end documents, bidding assistance and is providing construction administration for the proposed construction of a drainage culvert connecting City Canals 28 and 37 crossing 50th Street, and construction of a positive drainage system trunk system on 82nd Avenue with branches on 44th Court through 47th Court discharging into City Canal 27. Construction documents included storm drainage and paving restoration improvements, paving, grading, signing and marking, demolition and storm drainage system. This project was issued under our continuing services contract with the City. City of Lauderhill Sports Park - Miller Legg was retained by the City of Lauderhill to provide civil engineering design, stormwater permitting, landscape architecture, irrigation design, construction specifications and bidding assistance services for proposed amenities improvements at the 12-acre Lauderhill Sports Park. Replacement of the baseball field and cricket pitch natural grass with synthetic turf and the football scoreboard replacement tasks have been finalized. Miller Legg has also completed design of the playground area wood chip surface conversion to synthetic turf, playground shade, modifications to portions of the fitness trail and the addition of new fitness stations trail and exercise equipment. City of Miramar Historic Public Safety Complex - The City of Miramar replaced the Civic Center and Child Care building with a new one-story 24,000 SF building to accommodate its police substation, storage, administrative and other law enforcement and public safety facilities, in addition to a surface parking lot for safety vehicles. The new building was certified Gold LEED certification. Miller Legg provided civil engineering design, permitting and construction administration services as part of the Architects Design Group team. Government permitting included the City of Miramar, Broward County and FDEP. The firm also provided LEED certification and value engineering review services. City of Coral Springs Forest Hills Boulevard Pedestrian Lighting - Miller Legg provided pedestrian lighting analysis and design plans for the Forest Hills Boulevard roadway loop starting and ending at NW 27th Street in the City of Coral Springs. A right-of-way survey was also performed. This segment of Forest Hills Boulevard is approximately 1.5 miles in length. City of Cocoa Beach CRA Minutemen Causeway - Minutemen Causeway is the “main street” within the Cocoa Beach Central Business District, providing a front door to City Hall and direct access to the beach.
