He <br />has worked on multiple commercial, <br />industrial and residential projects <br />involving production and project <br />management across various technical <br />disciplines. In addition, he spent 3 years <br />as a senior engineering and construction <br />manager for an international firm <br />providing camp and logistics construction <br />services at Kandahar Airfield in <br />Afghanistan. Prior to joining Miller Legg, <br />Mr. Schipske was a founding principal of <br />two engineering firms and has held <br />senior positions at various civil <br />engineering and land development firms <br />in South Florida. <br /> <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br /> <br />City of Lauderhill NW Quadrant <br />Drainage Improvements - Miller Legg <br />provided to the City of Lauderhill site <br />civil engineering, preparation of <br />materials, construction specifications on <br />engineering plans, editing City front end <br />documents, bidding assistance and is <br />providing construction administration for <br />the proposed construction of a drainage <br />culvert connecting City Canals 28 and 37 <br />crossing 50th Street, and construction of <br />a positive drainage system trunk system <br />on 82nd Avenue with branches on 44th <br />Court through 47th Court discharging <br />into City Canal 27. Construction <br />documents included storm drainage and <br />paving restoration improvements, paving, <br />grading, signing and marking, demolition <br />and storm drainage system. This project <br />was issued under our continuing services <br />contract with the City. <br /> <br />City of Lauderhill Sports Park - <br />Miller Legg was retained by the City of <br />Lauderhill to provide civil engineering <br />design, stormwater permitting, landscape <br />architecture, irrigation design, <br />construction specifications and bidding <br />assistance services for proposed <br />amenities improvements at the 12-acre <br />Lauderhill Sports Park. Replacement of <br />the baseball field and cricket pitch <br />natural grass with synthetic turf and the <br />football scoreboard replacement tasks <br />have been finalized. Miller Legg has also <br />completed design of the playground area <br />wood chip surface conversion to <br />synthetic turf, playground shade, <br />modifications to portions of the fitness <br />trail and the addition of new fitness <br />stations trail and exercise equipment. <br /> <br />City of Miramar Historic Public <br />Safety Complex - The City of <br />Miramar replaced the Civic Center and <br />Child Care building with a new one-story <br />24,000 SF building to accommodate its <br />police substation, storage, administrative <br />and other law enforcement and public <br />safety facilities, in addition to a surface <br />parking lot for safety vehicles. The new <br />building was certified Gold LEED <br />certification. Miller Legg provided civil <br />engineering design, permitting and <br />construction administration services as <br />part of the Architects Design Group <br />team. Government permitting included <br />the City of Miramar, Broward County <br />and FDEP. The firm also provided LEED <br />certification and value engineering review <br />services. <br /> <br />City of Coral Springs Forest Hills <br />Boulevard Pedestrian Lighting - <br />Miller Legg provided pedestrian lighting <br />analysis and design plans for the Forest <br />Hills Boulevard roadway loop starting <br />and ending at NW 27th Street in the <br />City of Coral Springs. A right-of-way <br />survey was also performed. This segment <br />of Forest Hills Boulevard is <br />approximately 1.5 miles in length. <br /> <br />City of Cocoa Beach CRA <br />Minutemen Causeway - Minutemen <br />Causeway is the “main street” within the <br />Cocoa Beach Central Business District, <br />providing a front door to City Hall and <br />direct access to the beach.
