Book Office Actions on Behalf of Sunny Isles Beach <br />Ronald L. Book, P.A. has provided professional legislative and lobbyist services to the <br />City since 1998. The Ronald L. Book, P.A. team has been pivotal in securing grant funding <br />from State and County agencies, as well as assisting with legislative matters these past <br />few years to include: <br />• Central Island Drainage — Resilient Florida Grant - $2,000,000 <br />• Central Island Drainage — State Appropriation through FDEP - $400,000 <br />• GC Pedestrian Bridge — State Appropriation through FDOT - $500,000 <br />• 174th Pedestrian Bridge — 1 Award through FDOT Local Transportation Projects <br />$425,000 and 1 Veto <br />• City-wide drainage improvements — through FDOT - $300,000 <br />The Ronald L. Book, P.A. team has been committed in securing meetings with legislators <br />in Tallahassee for the City's elected officials and management, particularly as it relates to <br />condominium issues. An example of this includes the established condominium <br />ombudsman with local office hours. They have also advocated for substantive issues, <br />including defeating vacation rental preemption and increases on sovereign immunity <br />limits. <br />
