RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE PURCHASE OF A 2022 STARCRAFT SHUTTLE BUS <br />FROM CREATIVE BUS SALES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED <br />THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED ONE DOLLARS ($134,201.00), <br />ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO <br />ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") Community Shuttle Bus program <br />provides transportation services to residents and visitors seven (7) days per week, and the City <br />desires to add an additional shuttle bus to its fleet in order to provide effective and efficient <br />service to the City's residents; and <br />WHEREAS, Creative Bus Sales has submitted a quote for a 2022 Starcraft Shuttle Bus <br />("Bus"), that will seat 24 passengers plus two (2) wheelchair stations, and is equipped with a <br />wheelchair door and step wells, utilizing the State of Oklahoma Contract No. SW0797C; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-13(C) of the City's Purchasing Code, purchases made <br />under state general service administration contracts, federal, county or other governmental <br />contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies, are exempt from the <br />competitive bidding requirements set forth in Chapter 62; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase the Bus from Creative Bus Sales, in an amount <br />not to exceed One Hundred Thirty -Four Thousand Two Hundred One Dollars ($134,201.00), <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Authorization of Purchase. The City Commission hereby authorizes the purchase <br />of one (1) shuttle bus from Creative Bus Sales, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty - <br />Four Thousand Two Hundred One Dollars ($134,201.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
