RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - _�/ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE TO THE PURCHASE ORDER WITH <br />AMAZON FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000.00), SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") currently purchases office supplies and <br />equipment ("Supplies"), many of which are purchased from Amazon; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 14th, 2021, via Resolution No. 2021-3232, the City Commission <br />approved a blanket purchase order authorizing the City Manager or his designee to purchase <br />necessary Supplies from Amazon for Fiscal Year 2021/2022, in an amount not to exceed <br />$55,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, it is projected that the City will exceed the blanket purchase order for <br />purchases made in Fiscal Year 2021/2022; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to authorize an increase to the blanket purchase order with <br />Amazon for office supplies and equipment, in an amount not to exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars <br />($30,000.00), bringing the total not to exceed amount to Eighty -Five Thousand Dollars <br />($85,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2021/2022. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Increase to Blanket Purchase Order. The City Commission hereby authorizes an <br />increase to the blanket purchase order with Amazon for office supplies and equipment, in an <br />amount not to exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00), bringing the total not to exceed <br />amount to Eighty -Five Thousand Dollars ($85,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2021/2022. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
