<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | ITB 22-12-02 22 <br /> <br />3.10 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br /> The Contractor shall ensure that the following duties and responsibilities are adhered to: <br /> <br />1. Provide identification and copies of qualifications for each qualified official, worker and referee <br />that provides services prior to the first scheduled game or contest. <br />2. Maintain any applicable qualifications and/or certifications for the duration of the contract. <br />3. Ensure that referees are knowledgeable and trained in proper officiating mechanics and rules of <br />sports assigned at NFHS level or above. <br />4. Recognize, adhere to or enforce any specialized game rules, policy or standards instituted by the <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach sports program. <br />5. Provide schedule of assigned officials to SIB administration in advanced of games. <br />6. Provide an overseer or primary contact with immediate access to coordinate coverage, resolve <br />issues and address concerns. <br />7. Meet with SIB division administration in advance of season and as needed to address concerns, <br />incidents or issues. <br />8. Provide services as requested WITHOUT the use of subcontractors not agreed upon, identified <br />or acknowledged in advance of contract agreement. <br />9. Notify Sunny Isles Beach administration in advance of any real or perceived conflict of interest <br />i.e. family member or associate a participant in competition or game assigned. <br />10. Contractor shall provide a copy of these rules to each official. <br />11. Contractor shall be fully aware, knowledgeable and comply with the FHSAA Officials Guidebook. <br />12. Contractor shall provide the City with a list of names for those individuals who will be <br />providing services under the contract, and shall be further required to maintain the list <br />current with the City in the event there are any changes to personnel. All individuals <br />performing services under this contract shall comply with the criminal background check <br />requirements of Section 2.3 herein. <br /> <br />3.11 Holidays <br /> <br />Contractor’s services will not be required on City observed Holidays. City observed holidays <br />include the following: <br /> <br />• New Year’s Day – Friday, December 31, 2021* <br />• Martin Luther King Day – Monday, January 17, 2022 <br />• Presidents Day – Monday, February 21, 2022 <br />• Memorial Day – Monday, May 30, 2022 <br />• Juneteenth Independence Day – Monday, June 20, 2022* <br />• Independence Day – Monday, July 4, 2022
