Approach/Methodology
After being given the rules, I will schedule a meeting with the officials to go
over and answer any questions that may arise. We want to be crystal clear
as to any intricacies or modifications that each league may indicate. During
our meeting officials will discuss any rule changes that have been added to
FSHAA or FIFA so that all are on the same page when working together
come game time.
Once a game schedule is received from the league director it is placed on
my master schedule. The game schedule is then transferred to an online
system called Arbiter which is used by Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach
County High Schools. This system is paid for and updated by Eagle Eye
Officiating so that all officials have an organized schedule. Officials must
log in and accept their assignments and Arbiter emails reminders of
upcoming games. Also, gives a field location, time, age division, a partner,
and even directions to a given site. It eliminates any confusion and allows
for a streamline scheduling process. Schedules are sent out weeks in
advance to assure all games are covered with ease.
