There is a "POLLUTION CONTROL STRUCTURES" item on the bid form but there are no new
drainage structures in the plans and the are no baffles or weirs shown either. Can you define
what this bid item is for?
Al. Changed to erosion control protection of inlets.
Q2. It appears that bid form accounts for drainage structure modifications on multiple line
items. The first is "CONSTRUCTING BRICKS RISING UP TO NEW RIMS BOTTOM ELEVATION" and
the second is "TOP RIM ADJUSTMENT FOR DRAINAGE STRUCTURES". Can you explain the
difference between these two bid items?
A2. Changed to only 1 for adjustments.
Q3. Addendum 1 informed bidders to use "REMOVE EXISTING ASPHALT AND REPLACE WITH
98% COMPACTED LIMEROCK BASE AND 4" TYPE S -III ASPHALT W/ 2-2" LIFTS (AS SHOWN ON
APPROVED PLANS)" for change to 2-1" Lifts (as shown on approved plans). I do not believe it is
proper to change a bid item in addenda and not make change to bid form. Can you modify bid
form to match the addendum?
A3. Please refer to addendum #4.
1
