Grandinetti, Police Captain <br />7/17/2014 <br />RE: Approval to enter into an agreement with Safeware, Inc. to install <br />and maintain, Phase I of a Citywide Security Closed Circuit <br />Television (CCTV) System, in an amount not to exceed <br />$1,237,755.80 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Safeware, Inc. to install <br />and maintain, phase I of a Citywide Security Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) <br />System. <br />REASONS: <br />The installation of a Citywide Security Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) System <br />would provide the police department with 24 hour / 7 days a week surveillance of <br />ten (10) parks and locations throughout the city, in addition to the invaluable <br />archival data of up to thirty (30) days for investigative purposes. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach Police and Information Technology Departments <br />have worked closely with a city contracted security consultant to design an <br />optimal security layout plan for each location. In addition to the proposed <br />contracted price and vendor contingency of $79,835.00, the city has added an <br />additional contingency amount of $81,611.41 (for a total of 15% contingency) for <br />any unforeseen additions not listed in the proposed scope of work. <br />Aeenda Item No. 10D <br />Date 7117/2014 <br />304 <br />
