B <br />O <br />TIONS <br />SUBCONSULTANTS TRAF TECH <br />OTHER RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />Improved Access for Southeast Miramar <br />Traf Tech conducted a preliminary evaluation of three potential roadway improvements located in southeast <br />Miramar. The three roadway improvements were intended to improve access and mobility within the <br />southeast areas of the City of Miramar. Additionally, the current and future traffic conditions along Flamingo <br />Road /Ludlam Road, south of the Miami- Dade /Broward County line, were reviewed since this north -south <br />roadway provides an alternative exit route to current and future residents of southeast Miramar. <br />Traffic Analysis for Transit Oriented Development in the City of Miramar <br />Traf Tech conducted a preliminary traffic analysis in connection with proposed land -use changes for an <br />area located near State Road 7 in the City of Miramar. This analysis was based on the current edition of <br />the Institute of Transportation Engineer's (ITE), and followed Broward County procedures regarding existing <br />conditions, and future conditions with and without the proposed land use change The future conditions <br />analysis focused on the shortand long -term horizon years. The analysis determined the addition /decrease <br />in daily and PM peak hour traffic volumes within the affected roadways. The analysis was based on readily - <br />available traffic information published by Broward. <br />Traffic Consultant for the City of Sunrise <br />As traffic consultant to the City of Sunrise, Traf Tech assisted the City in addressing the pedestrian traffic <br />between the Sawgrass Mills Mall and the Florida Panther's Arena. Furthermore, Traf Tech Engineering has <br />been involved in the review process of numerous applications submitted to the City of Sunrise. These reviews <br />have focused on traffic impacts created by the proposed projects, and site plan reviews. <br />Traffic Consultant for the City of Coral Springs <br />As traffic consultant to the City of Coral Springs, Traf Tech assisted the City in pursuing the future extension <br />of University Drive between north -west Broward County and south -west Palm Beach County. Furthermore, <br />Traf Tech Engineering has been involved in the review process of numerous applications submitted to the <br />City of Coral Springs, including the future Downtown Coral Springs mixed -use development. These reviews <br />have focused on traffic impacts created by the proposed projects, and site plan reviews. <br />Pompano Beach Plaza Master Plan <br />Trot Tech Engineering was retained by the City of Pompano Beach to conduct a parking study in connection <br />with the Pompano Beach Plaza Master Plan project. The project study area was generally bounded by: <br />- Atlantic Ocean on the east - Intersection of SR A] A & N. Pompano Beach Blvd. on north <br />- Intracoastal Waterways on the west - Atlantic Boulevard on the south <br />The parking study addressed the existing public parking facilities located within the study area, the <br />existing parking demand of these public parking facilities, the future parking needs of the study area, and <br />recommendations intended to improve parking conditions in connection with the Pompano Beach Plaza <br />Master Plan project. <br />Traffic Consultant to FDOT <br />For a period of 10 years, Mr. Vargas served as traffic operations and safety consultant to the Florida <br />Department of Transportation (FDOT). During this period, he conducted over 200 traffic engineering <br />assignments for the State, including the Florida Keys Hurricane Evacuation Study completed in 2001. The <br />over 200 work orders have included, but are not limited to: <br />- Signal warrant studies - Intersection studies <br />- Access management studies. - Operational analyses of arterial roadways <br />- Safety studies at more than 100 locations - Operational analysis for a new flyover ramp proposed at the <br />Golden Glades interchange. <br />CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES I RFO NO. 14-07-02 <br />70 <br />
