F <br />EDUCATION <br />Bachelor of Architecture. <br />Syracuse University. 1991 <br />STAFFING <br />RESUMES BERMELLO AJAMIL & PARTNERS, INC. <br />ScofBakos <br />Partner, Principal Designer <br />Professional Design Experience <br />Scott Bakos has over 18 years of architectural experience with a variety of project types. His <br />experience includes work on residential projects for public and private clients, commercial <br />office, transportation, military facilities, and maritime /waterfront projects. Mr. Bakos has also <br />been involved in several projects in the Middle East in Dubai and Kuwait. His responsibilities <br />include developing close working relationships with clients and maintaining involvement with <br />all disciplines of the project. Scott is also Managing Director of our Fort Lauderdale office, <br />overseeing a staff comprised of architects, designers, administrative and support personnel. <br />PARK AND RECREATIONAL EXPERIENCE <br />South City Beach Park and Scavo Park, Hallandale Beach, Florida - Principal Designer - <br />Responsible for the architectural design on three City of Hallandale Beach Parks. The design <br />of these parks include, but are not limited to, recreational facilities, playground structures, site <br />furniture, parking, vehicular and pedestrian circulation and interaction, fighting, overhead <br />structures, and restroom facilities. The maintenance, reuse- and relocation of appropriate <br />vegetation and amenities will be provided if applicable. B &A provided a full set of design <br />development as well as construction documents packages for each park. <br />B.F. James Park & Aquatic Facility, Hallandale Beach, Florida - Project Manager /Principal <br />Designer. This project encompassed the complete redevelopment of an underused existing <br />neighborhood park through extensive public input and master plan development. B &A <br />developed an extensive program for the new park including a new community swimming <br />facility, basketball courts, picnic areas, exercise stations and an expanded playground. In <br />addition, to meet City code requirements, the park and buildings were designed for LEED <br />Certification. B &A managed the LEED Certification and led the design team through the <br />certification process. B &A developed various architectural altematives for the aquatic swim <br />building. The architectural style of this facility will serve as the bases for the design of all public <br />buildings in future City parks. Although relatively small, the new pool will serve the community's <br />recreational needs and includes a beach entry feature and three lap lanes which can be <br />modified for swim health classes. The park was designed utilizing numerous CPTED principles. <br />George Brummer Park, Pompano Beach, Florida - Project Designer for all buildings as part of the <br />Master Plan and park design improvements. <br />Highlands Community Center, Deerfield Beach, Florida - Project Manager. Design of a new <br />3.500 SF Community Center which was inserted into the existing 2.16 acre triangular park. The <br />main multi - purpose space can be divided into (2) two separate spaces that accommodate <br />a variety of uses at the some time. The facility has a dedicated service area for catering. Site <br />improvements include additional landscaping, new sidewalks to the building (main entry / front <br />and a separate service / back of house( and new shade over the existing playground area. <br />The building is designed to accommodate emergency operation communications for the <br />community before, during and after a hurricane. <br />Gaines Park Community Center, West Palm Beach, Florida - Project Manager for a 10.000 SF <br />Multi- purpose community center that includes a variety of public use spaces for meetings, <br />large banquet / events and classes. Key aspect included the integration of the new facility into <br />the existing structures and open spaces of Gaines Park. In addition, B &A renovated the existing <br />North Wing that accommodates additional classrooms, meeting rooms, full working kitchen, <br />audio recording studios and offices. <br />OTHER RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />Pompano Beach Boulevard -Kiosk Building, Pompano Beach, Florida - Project Manager of the <br />transformation of on existing one story storage shed into a beach concession building.
