Environmental and Ecological Services <br />AMEC's professional engineers are experienced in the broad discipline of environmental <br />engineering and ecological services. We provide environmental engineering design, <br />environmental site assessments, hazard assessments, and remediation and mitigation <br />strategies and plans for clients on a regular basis. AMEC also hosts a team of biological and <br />ecological experts, including wetland scientists, environmental scientists, biologists, geologists, <br />restoration ecologists, and water resources and environmental engineers who can perform <br />services such as water quality assessment and monitoring, wetlands surveys, and biological <br />and ecological studies that are required in environmental engineering project activities. <br />For nearly 30 years, AMEC has been instrumental in the completion of successful <br />environmental permitting and compliance projects for commercial, industrial, municipal, and <br />County clients. AMEC's staff of geologists, environmental scientists, and engineers has <br />acquired the experience to guide the regulated community through the myriad and mazes of the <br />ever changing environmental regulations. <br />Materials Engineering <br />AMEC's materials engineering team has provided construction engineering and inspection <br />(CEI), construction materials testing (CMT), and construction management (CM) services on a <br />wide variety of highway, bridge, and airport projects throughout South Florida. Our staff <br />coordinates work site activities to ensure the protection of human health and the environment; <br />the prevention of damage to property, utilities, materials, supplies, and equipment; and the <br />avoidance of work interruptions. This coordination is through various office /departments of <br />applicable existing base or area operations including providing physical security to the work <br />area with security equipment and personnel. <br />AMEC offers a broad range of CEI services to assure the quality of our clients' construction <br />projects. Our construction professionals have up -to -date accreditation and certification, and we <br />maintain an in -house QA/QC laboratory equipment calibration program. AMEC has provided CM <br />and CMT services to county, state and federal governments in the construction of roads, bridges <br />and support structures as well as buildings, stadiums, exhibit halls and municipal facilities. Services <br />include concrete testing, steel reinforcement inspection and testing, steel precast (architectural), <br />precast inspection (structural), foundation inspection, soils testing, and testing/ inspection of <br />masonry, fireproofing, waterproofing, roofing, and bituminous materials. <br />AM <br />
