5001 SW 74TH COURT, SUITE 201, MIAMI, FLORIDA 33155
TEL: 305662 -8887 FAX: 305-662 -8858
WWW.SRS-CORP.CDM ES- 00007317
Summary of Litigation History
Since the inception of the company, SRS has only been involved in three lawsuits.
In 2006, SRS Engineering, Inc., together with three other engineering firms as
defendants, was involved in its first lawsuit. The lawsuit, brought by an individual plaintiff
employed by another reengineering firm, pertains to Program Management contracts
awarded to SRS Engineering, Inc. and the other three defendants as "Master
Consultants" hired by Miami -Dade County's Department of Environmental Resources
Management (DERM). The purpose of these contracts was to assist DERM's Division of
Recovery and Mitigation (DORM) in the management of a FEMA grant for countrywide
drainage mitigation and roadway resurfacing and reconstruction. The work was
mandated because of damage sustained by hurricanes Irene and the so- called "No
Name" storm. This case was settled with no admission of liability in August 2006. SRS's
claim did not exceed $100,000.
Claims Outstanding
2. Claimant: JAK Holdings (Case: #2012 - 728- CA -01)
Project Name: Ponce de Leon Roadway Improvement — CEI Services
Nature of Damages: SRS Engineering, Inc., together with the City of Coral Gables and
Tran Construction is currently involved in a lawsuit. The lawsuit, brought by a plaintiff,
owner of a building adjacent to a roadway construction project. The Plaintiff claims that
the construction work has damage his building. SRS's role in the project was CEI
inspector. All work was performed in adherence to the plans so we feel we should have
no liability in this case. SRS is claiming no fault and is requesting to be released from
lawsuit. Dates: March, 2012
3. Claimant: American Homes Assurance (Case: #10- 29797 -CA- 01(23))
Project Name: Drainage Plans for ADR Development
Nature of Damages: ADR was sued by home owner for water damage done to home
due to leaks and seepage. ADR's insurance company filed suit on all parties associated
with the design of the house. Due to lack of grounds it appears the attorney assigned to
us by RLI recommended we settle for the S2,000 now on the table to avoid any further
legal fees.
Payment was made in January 2013 and an order of dismissal with prejudice of SRS
Engineering, Inc. was subsequently signed by the judge.
Dates: December, 2010 — March, 2013
GQ 1 J
Ignaci Serralta, P.E.
SRS ngineering, Inc.
Pres dent
