<br />® We understand that in order for the City of Sunny Isles Beach to continue to prosper,
<br />® it is critical to select a consulting team that will partner with you to help develop and
<br />implement the City's vision, as well as improve and rehabilitate the City's infrastructure.
<br />® Kimley -Horn has the local experience and extensive knowledge in the professional
<br />® service areas requested by the City to be that partner. The Kimley -Horn team has
<br />® successfully completed numerous roadway, stormwater, water, wastewater, traffic,
<br />transportation, streetscape, landscape improvement, and parks projects throughout
<br />Miami -Dade County and the state of Florida. Kimley- Horn's focus is to provide the
<br />• City of Sunny Isles Beach with a comprehensive team that excels in planning, design,
<br />® permitting, and construction phase services for all aspects of civil engineering, traffic
<br />and transportation, and landscape architecture referenced in your RFO.
<br />As your project manager, I have served municipalities for the majority of my 27 -year
<br />career and have a passion for municipal engineering services. I have been providing
<br />municipal services to nearby municipalities in Miami -Dade County, including Bay Harbor
<br />Islands, Miami Lakes, North Miami, North Bay Village, Palmetto Bay, and Cutler Bay.
<br />Responsiveness. Kimley -Horn has been in business for more than 47 years, and we understand that a strong commitment to client
<br />satisfaction must be the foundation of our service to you. I will strive to deliver not only technical excellence, but timely service and
<br />practical, money- saving solutions. Most of all, I will be available to you whenever you need me. My primary role is to ensure effective
<br />communication between your staff and my team. By placing one phone call to me, I will assemble the team of experts needed to
<br />serve you on any assignment. We will be responsive, readily available, and will aggressively examine ways to reduce costs as we
<br />work with you to define specific needs and implement sound planning and engineering solutions.
<br />On -Time, On- Budget Successes. For each major task assigned, we will assemble a schedule that includes key milestone dates,
<br />develop planning approaches, explore potential cost - saving opportunities, launch designs, secure permits, and complete design
<br />efforts with plans and specifications for the City. This includes a series of meetings between the City and our team to ensure a level
<br />of comfort throughout the various project steps. This approach maintains a solid level of involvement with your staff and results in
<br />final design elements that meet and exceed your expectations. Our cost estimates are carefully based on current construction costs,
<br />which result in accurate and realistic budgets.
<br />Roadway Planning and Design. Roadway design and planning are mainstays of Kimley- Horn's professional practice. Collectively,
<br />our engineers have been responsible for the design of more than 2,000 miles of roadway, much of it here in Florida. We have
<br />provided these services for urban, rural, primary, secondary, and interstate roadways for clients ranging from local municipalities
<br />to state departments of transportation. We are well equipped to address all related aspects of roadway design projects, such as
<br />intersection geometrics, utility relocations, traffic control, and signalization. Paving and drainage services are an integral part of our
<br />roadway design projects, and our substantial experience in dealing with regulatory and other agencies enables us to secure the
<br />necessary permits and approvals for building and upgrading roadway facilities.
<br />Stormwater Engineering and Drainage Design. Kimley -Horn has helped solve some of the country's most complex stormwater
<br />runoff, retention, and treatment issues. We can handle all of your planning, permitting, and design needs, from start to finish. Kimley
<br />Horn is cognizant of the recent symposium and the concerns of rising sea level due to climate change and the dire effects on low
<br />lying areas. The forecasted sea level rise will present significant challenges for land- locked coastal communities. This will create
