<br />®community-wide vision that includes public and private property, creates a unity of spirit within the Village, and makes vehicular traffic
<br />coexist safely with pedestrian /bicycle /rollerblading traffic. The beautiful island Village sought ways to revitalize their main corridor, US 1,
<br />® both functionally and aesthetically. This provided a unique challenge because the main corridor runs the length of the Village, and the
<br />® island itself is just a quarter -mile wide. Community leaders defined the major issues to be addressed and worked with Kimley -Horn to
<br />® develop solutions.
<br />® Districtwide Safety Contract, FDOT District Seven — As analyst, conducted signal warrant analyses, signal phasing modification
<br />® analyses, and turn lane justification analyses throughout the District. Work included data collection, field review, capacity analyses, and
<br />signal warrant analyses.
<br />® Brickell City Centre, Miami, FL — Serving as project engineer. Located at the core of the City's financial district, Bdckell CityCentre
<br />® is a nine -acre mixed -use development —and one of the largest active projects in the City of Miami today. The proposed development
<br />® includes 830 residential units, a 290 -room hotel, and 906,463 square feet of office of which 95,117 square feet will serve as a medical
<br />® office. The development will also include 535,300 square feet of retail of which 142,000 square feet will serve as entertainment uses
<br />such as a nightclub, cinema, and a bowling alley. Kimley -Horn is providing civil engineering, traffic engineering, roadway design, transit
<br />® engineering, and construction phase services for the site.
<br />® Redevelopment of Dania Beach Jai Alai (for the Aragon Group), Dania Beach, FL — As project manager, provided traffic
<br />® engineering services for the client. In addition, Kimley -Horn has been directed by the client to work with the City to provide conceptual
<br />® traffic calming improvements in a portion of the City south of Dania Beach Boulevard, east of US 1, north of Sheridan Street, and west
<br />® of SE 5th Avenue.
<br />® 1111 Lincoln Road Parking Garage, Miami Beach, FL — Served as traffic engineer for this mixed -use project composed of
<br />® renovation and improvements to an existing building, which includes retail space, six levels of parking, residential rooftop units, an
<br />open -air restaurant on the roof, renovation and improvements to the existing building, and the addition of a new building. The new
<br />® building includes a ground floor bank, private banking quarters, and four residential units. Kimley -Horn provided civil and traffic
<br />® engineering services, including due diligence, contract documents, permitting, and construction phase assistance.
<br />1400 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL — Performed traffic engineering services for this project appropriately named for its location along
<br />Biscayne Boulevard. 1400 Biscayne, adjacent to the Performing Arts Center, is poised to become a lively pre- and post- theatre gathering
<br />spot, as well as one of the area's major retaillresidential centers. Kimley -Horn provided planning approval, site planning, urban design, and
<br />landscape architecture services for this project. Kimley -Horn also worked closely with city and state agencies on overall design integration
<br />into the Omni redevelopment plan. With its two high -rise residential towers offering 850 dwelling units and 44,000 square feet of retail, 1400
<br />Biscayne Boulevard will accomplish the Community Redevelopment Authority goal to reinvigorate the urban core.
<br />Districtwide Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Analyses, FDOT District Six — Project engineer for a study that evaluated 10
<br />roadways identified as high bicycle and pedestrian crash segments. Duties included GIS mapping of crashes, identity one to two -
<br />mile segments for field review, conduct field reviews, and develop potential recommendations to improve safety for pedestrians and
<br />bicyclists. The corridor segments were prioritized based on benefit -cost analyses.
<br />EFM Estates, Sections 1.3, Miami -Dade County, FL — Project analyst for a traffic impact analysis for submittal to the Florida
<br />Department of Transportation for a 444 -unit single-family home development located in west Miami -Dade County south of U.S.
<br />Highway 41. Services also included a traffic signal warrant analysis for submittal to FDOT.
<br />75 -Acre Tract, Miami -Dade County, FL — Project manager for a traffic signal warrant analysis for submittal to Miami -Dade County for
<br />a mixed -use development located in west Miami -Dade County near the Kendall - Tamiami Executive Airport. Development included 499
<br />condominiums and a three - dealership auto park.
<br />Districtwide Modal Development Consultant (includes South Florida Regional Freight Plan), FDOT District Four — Project
<br />engineer who provided traffic signal design services and traffic operational analyses for several task work orders of this contract
<br />including the Bus Queue Jumper demonstration project. Kimley -Horn has served as a Districtwide Modal Development Consultant
<br />to Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four since 2006. Kimley- Horn's responsibilities include travel demand
<br />modeling (multimodal), transportation systems management, congestion management, intermodal facilities, park- and -ride lot planning,
<br />multimodal alternatives analysis, transit planning, and bicycle and pedestrian planning.
