<br />® Field reviews were conducted to identify possible improvements to rectify the prevalent crash types. Safety improvements were
<br />identified and corresponding expected crash reductions and benefit -cost ratios were estimated to identity suitable and cost effective
<br />® improvements.
<br />® Brickell City Centre, Miami, FL — Serving as project analyst. Located at the core of the City's financial district, Brickell CitiCentre
<br />® is a nine -acre mixed -use development —and one of the largest active projects in the City of Miami today. The proposed development
<br />® includes 830 residential units, a 290 -room hotel, and 906,463 square feet of office of which 95,117 square feet will serve as a medical
<br />® office. The development will also include 535,300 square feet of retail of which 142,000 square feet will serve as entertainment uses
<br />such as a nightclub, cinema, and a bowling alley. Kimley -Horn is providing civil engineering, traffic engineering, roadway design, transit
<br />® engineering, and construction phase services for the site.
<br />Resorts World Miami (former Miami Herald site), Miami, FL — Serving as analyst. Kimley -Horn is providing site /civil engineering,
<br />environmental, and ongoing traffic engineering services for the 14 -acre bayfront site that previously housed the Miami Herald
<br />® newspaper at 1 Herald Plaza in Miami. The proposed project includes four new hotels with more than 5,000 rooms and two
<br />® residential towers featuring up to 1,000 units; a luxury retail galleria; a 3.6 -acre rooftop lagoon and natural sand beach; more than 50
<br />® restaurants, lounges, bars, and nightclubs; a high -tech multimedia entertainment area showcasing the music and culture of Florida
<br />and South America; and 700,000 square feet of convention and meeting space. The resort will help develop the three -mile BayWalk,
<br />® which highlights a 150 -acre leisure and entertainment area in downtown Miami. Team tasks include due diligence, parking studies,
<br />® underground utility design, preparation of a Special Area Plan (SAP) traffic study consistent with City of Miami 21 Zoning Code,
<br />® environmental site assessment and potential remediation planning, including contaminant delineation, water quality evaluation, and
<br />quarterly groundwater monitoring.
<br />® Mowry Drive Roadway Improvements, Homestead, FL — Served as project analyst for the new construction and widening of Mowry
<br />Drive (SW 320th Street) from SW 157th Avenue to SW 152nd Avenue. The existing roadway consisted of a one -lane paved road and
<br />® was proposed to be converted to a four -lane divided urban section with bike lanes on both sides. The project included design and
<br />® preparation of roadway, drainage, signing and marking, lighting, water main extension, landscaping and irrigation plans. As part of the
<br />® project, environmental and drainage permits were obtained from SFWMD, RER and USACE. The project also included preparation of
<br />bid documents and construction supervision.
<br />® Miami World Center, Miami, FL — Served as project analyst. Kimley -Horn partnered with a private developer, the City of Miami, the
<br />Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), and other stakeholders in preparing typical sections for streetscapes for the City's
<br />® largest proposed downtown project. Kimley -Horn also partnered with numerous utility companies to determine existing underground
<br />® conditions. Once this information was obtained, we worked with multiple stakeholders to develop and evaluate various streetscape
<br />® options for roads and avenues within the multi -block project limits. During the schematic design phase of the streetscapes, the project
<br />was canceled due to the economic downturn.
<br />® SR 9/1.95 PD &E from South of Indiantown Road (SR706) to South of Bridge Road (CR 708), FDOT District Four — Serving
<br />® as project analyst. Kimley -Horn is conducting a PD &E study to consider capacity improvements to widen approximately 9.5 miles of
<br />1 -95 to an eight -lane section from south of SR 706 /Indiantown Road in Palm Beach County to south of CR 708 /Bridge Road in Martin
<br />® County. The PD &E study will also consider the 1 -95 at Indiantown Road interchange and any potential impacts to Indiantown Road.
<br />® Tasks include public involvement; data collection (engineering, environmental, traffic, and survey); environmental analysis (wetlands,
<br />contamination screening, cultural resources, noise /air quality, endangered species biological assessment, etc.); and engineering
<br />®
<br />analysis and reports.
<br />® 1 -95 Master Plan for 17 Interchanges from Linton Boulevard to Northlake Boulevard, FDOT District Four — Served as analyst for
<br />this project that entailed the identification of 17 interchange improvement projects (from south of Linton Boulevard to north of Northlake
<br />® Boulevard) that could move into the design phase in FY 2013/14 and FY 2014/2015. To accomplish this, Kimley -Horn developed
<br />® a methodology that proposed a two -tier approach to identify and prioritize those interchanges that could advance quickly and have
<br />® conceptual improvement plans completed by July 1, 2013; the remaining interchange studies were completed by July 1, 2014 and
<br />documented in an Interchange Master Plan (IMP).
