Bell <br />Judy Ann Bunce <br />David Donzella <br />Mark Flynt <br />July 31, 2014 <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br />Central Broward Water Control District is a local government agency chartered by the State of <br />Florida to provide secondary water management and stormwater drainage in southwest <br />Broward County. Within its 45 square mile area, this drainage district incorporates almost 107 <br />miles of canals that are located within six municipalities in Broward County. The District has <br />worked with RJ Behar since 2007 and has been very satisfied with the quality of their work. <br />® Under this contract, RJ Behar serves as one of two firms who serve as District Drainage <br />Engineers (DDE). As DDE, RJ Behar reviews plats, applications for water management work <br />permits, paving and drainage plans, as -built plans, and permit renewal applications for <br />conformance with the District's drainage regulations, standards, procedures, and design criteria. <br />RJ Behar also provides other services including drainage criteria, manual updates, special <br />studies, data collection and monitoring, computer modeling, geographic information systems, <br />master planning, design, permitting, cost estimating, construction inspection services, facilities <br />financing, facilities operations and other services as directed by the District. Permit reviews are <br />conducted and verged against District criteria. RJ Behar also participates in the District Board <br />Meetings as representative of the District. <br />For this contract the deliverables consist mostly of comments to submitted permit packages. <br />The responses are reviewed with senior engineers before submittal to the client. On complex <br />reviews, peer review and consultation is also conducted to verify criteria and hydrologic - <br />hydraulic analyses. All of the schedules, budgets, and deliverables are monitored using <br />spreadsheets and scheduling software. Tasks are completed within the time and budgets <br />allocated and staff is professional and pleasant to work with as they accomplish the District's <br />projects.
