<br />Newly hired to Keith and Schnars, Ms. McKay brings to the team more than 7 years of
<br />experience in the Landscape Architecture field, having worked in both the public and private
<br />sectors. She is proficient using AutoCAD software in the production of landscape, site plan
<br />and irrigation design drawings. As a Certified Landscape Inspector, Ms. McKay is familiar
<br />with permitting and inspection processes.
<br />Relevant Experience
<br />Districtwide Landscape Design Services, Miami -Dade County, FL: Ms. McKay
<br />will be serving as a contracted in -house project manager for the FDOT District 6 office,
<br />providing landscape architectural services including preparation of landscape and irrigation
<br />plan sets, plan reviews, presentations, reports, permit coordination, review meetings, tree
<br />relocations, inspections and miscellaneous consultations.
<br />Tree Inventory, Weston, FL: Assessed the quality and maintenance needs of all street
<br />trees in the public rights -of way throughout the City. Over 30,000 trees were inventoried
<br />using hand -held GPS units, creating a GIS database for this City's maintenance crew to take
<br />over. An analysis report of the urban forest was also provided to the City.
<br />Street Tree /Swale Inventory, Lauderdale Lakes, FL: Inventoried street trees and
<br />swale conditions for all roadways in the City, including each residential lot, using hand -held
<br />GPS units. In addition to providing a snap shot of the current urban forest, swale conditions
<br />were noted to help address drainage issues.
<br />Department of Design, Landscape and Construction Management, Plantation,
<br />FL: Reviewed plans /permits, inspected properties, and worked with residents & contractors
<br />for compliance with municipality's landscape code. Ms. McKay also helped coordinate the
<br />City's horticulture club.
<br />West Park, FL: Held General Services contract for this new municipality. Helped to secure
<br />grants and create bid documents for various community development projects. Provided
<br />design services for such projects as streetscapes and park enhancements, as well as
<br />monument signs.
<br />1 -75 /Pines Boulevard Interchange, Pembroke Pines, FL: Tree survey and disposition
<br />for existing trees impacted by redesign of the interchange. Provided existing and proposed
<br />landscape plans.
<br />Manatee Isles Drive and South Post Road, Weston, FL: Designed an irrigation system
<br />for two long stretches of roadway in Weston.
<br />North 35th Avenue Streetscape, Hollywood, FL: The roadway and intersection was
<br />redesigned during the expansion of Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital to include landscape
<br />and hardscape features.
<br />Library Park, Weston, FL: The Park was designed with many unique features to compliment
<br />the neighboring library. Local literary greats are highlighted around a fountain area, and
<br />history of the City is documented in a custom hardscape path that meanders throughout the
<br />park. In addition to landscape plans, Ms. McKay created site plan details for these distinct
<br />landscape design features, including special finishes, gazebos, & water features.
