Mr. Poitevin <br />was the Design Structural Engineer on <br />this 650 ft high rise residential tower. <br />Post tension concrete slabs, shear walls <br />in combination with composite steel <br />transfer girder uses to comply with the <br />current hurricane prone region governed <br />by the ASCE & and Florida Building Code <br />2010 Edition. <br />Envy, Miami, FL. Mr. Poitevin was the <br />Design Structural Engineer on this <br />project, which consisted of retrofit of an <br />existing residential tower on the sixth <br />level with a parking structure on the <br />ninth level that was put on hold on 2005. <br />Evaluation of the existing condition and <br />completion of the original design to <br />finish a 42 story tower with a pool deck <br />on top of the parking structure. <br />Natatorio Swimming Facility, Central <br />American Games, Mayaguez, Puerto <br />Rico. Mr. Poitevin was the Structural <br />Engineer of Record on a Swimming <br />Sport Complex for the swimming events <br />of the Central American Games of 2010. <br />Total of seventeen different structures, <br />including three olympic competition <br />pools, sitting areas, 180 feet span steel <br />trusses on a hurricane prone region and <br />high seismic area. <br />EcoElectrica Cooling Tower <br />Evaluation, Penuelas, Puerto Rico. Mr. <br />Poitevin was the Structural Engineer <br />on a proposed project for the seismic <br />evaluation and retrofit of an existing gas <br />energy plant in Puerto Rico. High wind <br />and seismic zone makes this evaluation <br />using Fema and ATC standards a <br />challenge in order to comply to <br />performance levels imposed by codes. <br />Hiram Bithorn Stadium, San Juan, <br />Puerto Rico. Mr. Poitevin was the <br />Design Structural Engineer on a <br />seismic evaluation and retrofit of <br />an existing sports complex project <br />built in the 1970's. Dynamic analysis <br />and performance based evaluation <br />to determine possible failure modes. <br />Innovative solutions and construction <br />methods to provide the stadium with <br />latest code compliant solutions. <br />
