177 <br />REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS NO. 14 -07 -02 <br />Miami Beachwalk I Miami Beach. Florida I Landscape Architect <br />The beachwalk provides a social gathering experience offering amazing views along the Atlantic Ocean and of <br />the numerous new and historical hotels that line the walk. Mr. Schultz's involvement as project manager has <br />included the redesign of the existing raised beachwalk behind the W Hotel and the Eden Roc Hotel to produce <br />an at grade pathway experience that meanders along the dune and local hotels. Mr. Schultz also oversaw the <br />installation. <br />Hard Rock Hotel and Casino I Tampa. Florida I Landscape Architect <br />The Tampa Hard Rock expanded their casino in 2007 and Mr. Schultz provided the design for the grounds <br />surrounding the new building and learned extensive knowledge into how casinos function and how <br />spaces /circulation relate with those functions. Mr. Schultz also conducted the construction observation and <br />administration for the project. <br />Broward College Health Science Simulation Laboratory I Davie. Florida I Landscape Architect <br />Broward College developed their new Health Science Simulation Laboratory as part of their campus <br />expansion. The new facility utilizes contemporary styling that will provide a separation from the existing <br />campus, but will blend within the overall fabric. Mr. Schultz served as the landscape architect on the project <br />working with the architect to provide a Site plan that provides interest and functionality. The planting and <br />irrigation were developed with attention to water efficiency and utilizing native plantings. <br />Nova Southeastern University, The Center for Collaborative Research I Davie. Florida I Landscape Architect <br />As part of NSU's continual expansion and Masterplan implementation, they have developed their Center for <br />Collaborative Research which will be located on the main loop road of the campus. This building will be the <br />front door to the campus and therefore continues the architectural aesthetic that is consistent across the <br />campus. Mr. Schultz served as the landscape architect for the project providing planting and irrigation <br />services for the project. The planting was designed to integrate within the overall campus seamlessly but with <br />special attention paid to water efficiency and aesthetics. <br />Smothers Parks Owensboro. Kentucky I Landscape Architect <br />Through the installation of a major bank stabilization effort in the heart of downtown Owensboro and the <br />relocation of the boat ramp. the City has assembled more than 4 acres of Rivertront property that stretches <br />1500' along the Ohio River. The park project will be the showcase of downtown Owensboro and will connect <br />two previously completed Rivertront Development projects: The River Park Center Plaza and The Mitch <br />McConnell Riverwalk and Plaza. The Smother's Park Improvements project is divided into 3 distinct areas: a <br />Signature Fountain area. a Themed Playground. and a Memorial Park. Mr. Schultz provided landscape <br />architectural services as the project manager overseeing construction administration for the new park and <br />final design. <br />Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort I Al Ain. United Arab Emirates I Landscape Architect <br />The client charged the designer to create a vision for a world class leisure, learning and living destination by <br />developing an integrated, environmentally and commercially sustainable. "desert of the world" themed resort <br />and community. Once completed. the 2.100 acre Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort is slated to include a mix of <br />resort. residential. commercial. retail, educational and entertainment elements all surrounded by the natural <br />beauty of Al Ain and the created desert landscapes of Arabia. Africa. and Asia. Mr. Schultz was the project <br />manager for the design of the North Kenya Safari, the Residential clusters and the Arrival Village for the new <br />Wildlife Park. <br />Davie Collegiate Housing I Davie. Florida I Landscape Architect <br />Supervising Landscape Architect for an 8 acre site that will provide student housing for the multiple colleges <br />and universities in the area. The apartments are set up with a common living room shared by two or four <br />bedrooms that each have their own restroom. There are 147 two bedroom units and 72 four bedroom units in <br />the development with a maximum height of 5 stories and consisting of 4 buildings. Craven Thompson is <br />responsible for the development of the site plan. hardscape elements and landscape for the project which <br />includes a pool amenity area, sand volleyball, two pedestrian plazas and decorative signage and fencing. <br />CRAVEN THOMPSON & ASSOCIATES.
