RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE TO THE PURCHASE ORDER WITH HOME <br />DEPOT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-2023, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000.00), SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") currently purchases supplies and <br />equipment for repair and maintenance of City -owned facilities ("Supplies"), many of which are <br />purchased from Home Depot; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 15th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3395, the City Commission <br />approved a blanket purchase order authorizing the City Manager or his designee to purchase <br />necessary Supplies from Home Depot for Fiscal Year 2022/2023, in an amount not to exceed <br />$110,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the City exceeded the blanket purchase order for purchases made in Fiscal <br />Year 2022/2023; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to authorize an increase to the blanket purchase order with <br />Home Depot for supplies and equipment, in an amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars <br />($20,000.00), bringing the total not to exceed amount to One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars <br />($130,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2022/2023. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Increase to Blanket Purchase Order. The City Commission hereby authorizes an <br />increase to the blanket purchase order with Home Depot for supplies and equipment, in an <br />amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), bringing the total not to exceed <br />amount to One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2022/2023. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
