Post - Construction Re- Examination - This post - construction evaluation process is a process that CGA undertakes at the end of certain projects in order to learn more about what could have been done to produce an even better design. Much of the time, we examine contractor's requests for information or unanticipated change orders that occurred during construction. Sometimes we find that items that may have seemed clear to the engineer or designer were not clear or were misinterpreted in the field by the contractor. Sometimes contractors try to find ways to invoke change orders, but other times, there are legitimate issues with the plans provided. As an example, we often find that the provision of additional details, special details or more specific of notes would have alleviated many of these issues, and therefore we try to include these items in future plans. ABILITY TO MEET DESIRED TIME -LINES AND DEADLINES The CGA Team constantly strives to deliver a high quality product to our client at or before the scheduled deadline. CGA will enlist all needed team members to ensure deliverables are provided to the City in an ex- pedited fashion. CGA accomplishes this task by keep- ing all channels of communication open amongst team members and coordinating in -house project meet- ings to make sure project milestones are being met as planned. Throughout construction, it's crucial to main- tain open communication between the contractor and design team to minimize the number of submitted change orders. This process allows all parties involved to remain on schedule and meet the budget goals. This project's prime focus is obtaining a permanent, cost effective and regulatory compliant solution to a specific issue and will require clearly defined project objectives and a detailed and concise scope definition from project inception.
