Section 4: Approach / Methodology
AUM has a long history in Street Lighting Maintenance. For over the
past 5 years AUM maintained over 13,000 streetlights along both
County and FDOT roadways. In addition, AUM was the contractor that
installed the + 130 streetlights in Golden Shores. In our scope of work
for Group 1, we will conduct nightly patrolling of the 304 lights that will
allow us to identify any non -operational lights which will be
subsequently repaired the following day. A proactive approach will
allow us to exceed the contract's 90% operational goal. During daytime
operations AUM will strictly commit to the City's proposed daily work
schedule hours to allow the residents to maintain easy access to their
homes.
We have assigned our most experienced Project Manager along with
our senior lighting crew led by one of our three Master Electricians. We
have identified a crew to perform the required work for Group 1 as
evidenced by our staffing organizational chart shown in Section 3 of this
submittal. However, when work orders are issued to undertake Group 2
scope of work, AUM will provide different crews as required for the
approved scope of work that specialize in their areas of work, i.e.,
underground, pre -cast foundation and pull box installations, pole
installation, wiring and final restoration. This multiple crew approach
allows AUM to expedite the work order completion.
AUM takes Safety as our number one priority for our clients, the public
and our employees. We will submit a project specific Safety Plan before
work commences.
Finally, AUM will be ready to mobilize immediately after issuance of a
Notice to Proceed from the City.
