RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE SCHEMATIC DESIGN OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />15800 COLLINS AVENUE, KNOWN AS THE INTRACOASTAL SPORTS PARK, <br />ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO <br />ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") is the owner of the property located <br />at 15800 Collins Avenue (the "Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, on May 19th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3337, the City Commission <br />approved a Project Agreement with Keith and Associates, Inc. ("Keith") to provide civil <br />engineering and landscape architectural services for a new structure with park amenities on the <br />Property; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 19th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3338, the City Commission <br />approved a Project Agreement with Rodriguez Architects, Inc. ("Rodriguez") to provide <br />professional architectural services for a new structure with park amenities on the Property; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 16, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-3467, the City Commission <br />approved the naming of the Property as the Intracoastal Sports Park ("ISP") based on the City <br />Commission's direction for the inclusion of active recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wants to approve the schematic design for the ISP, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Schematic Design. The City Commission hereby approves the <br />schematic design for the Intracoastal Sports Park, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
