14 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SMOKING: Smoking is NOT permitted near Fuel tanks or other <br />combustible/flammable areas. Post NO SMOKING signs. Use due care in disposing of <br />smoking paraphernalia. <br /> <br />VEHICLES: Employees are asked to park their vehicles in a safe designated area. <br />The speed limit on any jobsite as well as on office property is the lesser of 15mph or such <br />lower speed as may be required by the specific conditions or as may be instructed by RIC- <br />MAN supervisory personnel. <br /> <br />FIRE PRTOECTION: Each work area shall be stocked with fire extinguishers and <br />employees shall be advised of their location and trained in their use. Fire extinguishers shall <br />not be tampered with and may be removed only when authorized or in the event of fire or <br />threatened fire. If you use a fire extinguisher, ensure it is reported to your supervisor and <br />replaced or recharged before work rest. <br /> <br />FUEL HANDLING: All fuel cans and storage drums are to be clearly marked with <br />their content s. Use of gasoline is prohibited for cleaning equipment or tools or for starting <br />fires. Small quantities of gasoline may be transported only in approved safety containers. <br />Gasoline engines must be shut off when refueling. All gas cylinders are to be stored properly <br />with caps and tied in an upright p o s i t i o n . <br /> <br />EQUIPMENT: Inform your supervisor if you believe that you need additional <br />equipment or instruction to get the job done safely. Do not remove or bypass guards on any <br />machinery at any time. Unsafe tool s, defective or frayed electrical cords and unguarded <br />machinery should be reported to your foreman and replaced before work continues. No <br />employee is authorized to operate any machinery, equipment or tool unless he has been <br />properly instructed in its use and is thoroughly familiar with all details of its operation. Each <br />employee is obligated to inform his supervisor of his experience if requested to operate <br />equipment or use tools with which he is not experienced or qualified . <br /> <br />LEAVING JOBSITE: All employees are required to remain on the job site during <br />working hours with the exception of the pursuit of company business.
