This plan was created to help determine parks and recreation needs over the next 10 tc <br />15 years. AECOM began collecting data in June 2022. This data was gathered using both qualitativ( <br />and quantitive techniques, including surveys, focus groups, commission and staff input, and in-person <br />town hall meetings. <br />The Parks and Recreation Master Plan focuses on five long-range vision subsystems. <br />1. Community -wide recreation and cultural programs <br />2. Neighborhood parks and amenities <br />3. Connectivity and walkability <br />4. Water access and aquatics <br />5. Sustainability and resilience <br />Several projects have been highlighted as part of this Master Plan. This document is simply a tool anc <br />guide for responsible planning based on data. This plan provides the vision of what is possible, in an <br />organized fashion, to address the needs and desires of the residents at this time.
