<br />(b) The Contractor agrees that it does not and will not maintain or provide for its employees any
<br />segregated facilities at any of its establishments, and that it does not and will not permit its employees
<br />to perform their services at any location under its control where segregated facilities are maintained.
<br />The Contractor agrees that a breach of this clause is a violation of the Equal Opportunity clause in this
<br />contract.
<br />(c) The Contractor shall include this clause in every subcontract and purchase order that is subject to the
<br />Equal Opportunity clause of this contract.
<br />52.222-29 NOTIFICATION OF VISA DENIAL (APR 2015)
<br />(a) Definitions. As used in this clause —
<br />Gender identity has the meaning given by the Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract
<br />Compliance Programs, and is found at www.dol.gov/ofccp/LGBT/LGBT_FAOs.html.
<br />Sexual orientation has the meaning given by the Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract
<br />Compliance Programs, and is found at www.dol.2ov/ofccp/LGBT/LGBT FAOs.html.
<br />(b) Requirement to notes.
<br />(1) It is a violation of Executive Order 11246 for a Contractor to refuse to employ any applicant
<br />or not to assign any person hired in the United States, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands,
<br />American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Wake Island, on the basis that the
<br />individual's race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin is not
<br />compatible with the policies of the country where or for whom the work will be performed (41
<br />CFR 60-1.10).
<br />(2) The Contractor shall notify the U.S. Department of State, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of
<br />Political -Military Affairs (PM), 2201 C Street NW., Room 6212, Washington, DC 20520, and the
<br />U.S. Department of Labor, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Federal Contract Compliance, when it
<br />has knowledge of any employee or potential employee being denied an entry visa to a country
<br />where this contract will be performed, and it believes the denial is attributable to the race, color,
<br />religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin of the employee or potential
<br />employee.
<br />552.223-73 PRESERVATION, PACKAGING, PACKING, MARKING
<br />AND LABELING OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS (HAZMAT) FOR
<br />SHIPMENTS (JUN 2015)
<br />(a) Definition. United States, as used in this clause, means the 48 adjoining U.S. States, Alaska, Hawaii,
<br />and U.S. territories and possessions, such as Puerto Rico.
<br />(b) Preservation, packaging, packing, marking and labeling of hazardous materials for export shipment
<br />outside the United States in all transport modes shall comply with the following, as applicable:
<br />(1) International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code as established by the International
<br />Maritime Organization (IMO).
<br />(2) U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Material Regulation (HMR) 49 CFR
<br />parts 171 through 180. (Note: Classifications permitted by the HMR, but not permitted by the
<br />IMDG code, such as Consumer Commodities classed as ORM–D, shall be packaged in
<br />accordance with the IMDG Code and dual -marked with both Consumer Commodity and IMDG
<br />marking and labeling.)
