Russo, City Manager 9/18/2014 Approving a Charitable Contribution to Sunny Isles Beach Social Seniors Events, Inc. RECOMMENDATION: This Resolution is presented for your consideration. REASONS: The Sunny Isles Beach Social Seniors Event, Inc. ( "Social Seniors ") is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization that offers monthly social and recreational gatherings for senior citizen residents and guests alike. The City wishes to continue its tradition of giving contributions to charitable organizations within the City, and wishes to give a charitable contribution for Fiscal Year 2014 -2015 to Social Seniors in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) as a matching contribution, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. 50% of the $10,000.00 charitable contribution (i.e. $5,000.00) shall be used for administrative costs and salaries. The remaining 50% of the $10,000.00 charitable contribution (i.e. $5,000.00) shall be used for programs. The $10,000.00 contribution is subject to the matching requirement that was approved under Resolution No. 2013 -2115, adopted on September 19, 2013; 2. The $10,000.00 charitable contribution shall be contributed quarterly, i.e. $2,500.00 per quarter, 3. In addition to the monetary donation the City, at its discretion, agrees to provide Social Seniors marketing information in official City publications, as available; 4. Social Seniors shall promote City events and programs at all Social Seniors organized functions as approved by the City; Agenda Item No 10H 5.
