Russo, City Manager <br />Bill Evans, Assistant City Manager <br />9/18/2014 <br />Resolution Approving a Contract with X -Clean Corp. for Citywide <br />Janitorial Maintenance Services <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />In June 2014, the City publicly advertised an Invitation to Bid for Janitorial <br />Maintenance Services of City Facilities. The City received four (4) bid responses, <br />of which X -Clean Corp was the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. X- <br />Clean Corp has been providing janitorial services for similar facilities within the <br />South Florida region since 2004. They are qualified, willing and able to provide <br />the required services. A contract award to X -Clean Corp would result in an <br />annual savings of 37% or $61,733.40 relative to the existing janitorial services <br />vendor. <br />The proposed term of the agreement is from October 01, 2014 for a three (3) <br />year period with the option to renew for an additional two (2) year period. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />The annual amount not to exceed $110,000.00 <br />($95,152.32 Service and $14,847.68 Materials) <br />10.576.5341A and 10.577.5463. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• Resolution <br />• Agreement <br />for both service and materials <br />from Account No. 10.534.5341, <br />Agenda Item No. 101 <br />Date 9/18/2014 <br />192 <br />
