Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: Bill Evans, Assistant City Manager <br />DATE: 9/18/2014 <br />RE: Resolution Approving a Contract with Tropic Fence, Inc. for <br />Professional Services for the Arlen House Streetscape Project <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />In August 2014, the City publicly advertised an Invitation to Bid for the fabrication <br />and installation of new vehicular and pedestrian gate systems at the Arlen <br />House. The City received one (1) bid response from Tropic Fence Inc., who is <br />qualified, willing and able to provide the required services. <br />The gate fabrication and installation is part of the on -going Arlen House Right -of- <br />Way Improvement project, which is included in the City's adopted Capital <br />Improvement Plan for construction of aesthetic enhancements at Collins Ave and <br />Bayview Drive. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />The amount not to exceed $38,838.95 from Account No. 20.600.5697 <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• Resolution <br />• Agreement <br />Agenda Item No. IOK <br />Date 9/18/2014 <br />254 <br />
