RESOLUTIONS <br /> 10A. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, <br /> Establishing the City of Sunny Isles Beach Proposed Ad Valorem Tax Millage Levy <br /> Rate at 2.6000 Mills per $1,000.00 of Taxable Assessed Value Which is 9.77% More than <br /> the "Rolled Back" Rate of 2.3686 Mills, for Fiscal Year 2014/2015; Setting the Date, Time <br /> and Place for the First and Second Public Budget Hearings as Required by Law; Directing <br /> the City Clerk and City Manager to File this Resolution with the Property Appraiser of <br /> Miami-Dade County Pursuant to the Requirements of Florida Statutes and the Rules and <br /> Regulations of the Department of Revenue of the State of Florida;Providing for an Effective <br /> Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Finance Director Audra Curts-Whann reported <br /> noting that we need to report back to the Property Appraiser's office no later than August 4, <br /> 2014 of what those dates and rates are. She said at this time we are proposing the Millage <br /> Rate of 2.6 Mills in comparison to last year's 2.7 that is a reduction. The Fiscal Year <br /> 2014/2015 Budget Hearings will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 and Tuesday, <br /> September 23, 2014 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Commissioner Scholl mentioned that we should <br /> get a good headline as this is the third year in a row that we have lowered the Millage Rate. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Aelion seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution.
