RESOLUTION NO. 2014 - 22t79 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH OF <br />MIAMI -DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH TENTATIVE AD VALOREM TAX <br />MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.6000 MILLS PER ONE <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS (S1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED <br />VALUE WHICH IS 9.77% MORE THAN THE "ROLLED <br />BACK" RATE OF 2.3686 HILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />2014/2015; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Nliami -Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2014 Taxable Value ": and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.06, F.S.. the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the <br />County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public <br />hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy <br />rate at 2.6000 mills per One Thousand Dollars (S 1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNI' ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Adopt the Tentative Millage Rate. The proposed millage rate is hereby adopted as <br />2.6000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($ 1.000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach. The proposed millage reflected is 9.77% more than the "rolled back" rate of 2.3686 <br />mills. for Fiscal Year 2014/2015. <br />Section 2. Effective Date.
