Parker, Building Official <br />DATE: J u ly 18, 2024 <br />RE: Amendment of Professional Services Agreement Between the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach and M.T. Causley, LLC. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach entered into a cooperative Professional Service Agreement, based off the <br />City of Doral, Florida Agreement, RFQ No. 2023-04, for Building Inspections and Plan Review Services in <br />the Building Department in an amount not -to exceed $50,000. The city desires to amend the original <br />Agreement to increase the not -to exceed amount from $50,000 to $250,000 to cover workload in the <br />Building Department forthe remainder of the calendar year. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />On December 7, 2023, the city entered into a Professional Service Agreement with M.T. Causley, LLC for <br />non-exclusive structural inspection and plan review services on an as -needed basis. The city entered <br />into this agreement using the City of Doral's solicitation information, and Consultant's response, in a <br />total contract not -to exceed $50,000. However, due to the Building Department's unsuccessful efforts to <br />fill several inspector vacancies, the department continues to have the need to utilize the services <br />provided under this agreement.
